
Youth Leadership Program
The Long Beach Branch NAACP is conducting a Youth Leadership Program. The purpose of this program is to bring together and provide leadership training for Long Beach inner city youth. These youth are from varied economic backgrounds, academic achievement levels, races and ethnic backgrounds. A major objective is for the participants to realize they have the potential to become leaders.
This is taught, utilizing the following components during a four week program:
- Gain valuable work experience
- Develop leadership skills
- Give back to the community
- Participate in multi ethnic team building
- Personal responsibility
- Education and career paths
