Fit and Focus Program Applications for Golf, Sailing and Tennis
LB NAACP Community Impact Program and Focus Component sent 100 students through tennis camp, golf camp, sailing program. Students receive professional instruction and compete in tournaments. The camps are held in conjunction with LA County Supervisor Don Knabe's office, Long Beach Parks, Recreation and Marine Department, the US Sailing Center and the Long Beach Yacht Club.
The Golf, Sailing, and Tennis programs are provided at low cost. Scholarships are awarded based on income and interest. Applications are now available. Fit and Focus applications may be picked up at the local High Schools or by attending the Long Beach NAACP General Membership meeting.
