NAACP 13th Annual Economic Reciprocity Report

The Economic Reciprocity Initiative (ERI) is a measuring tool of corporate America’s commitment to people of color. The targeted companies are surveyed for their activity in employment, vendor development and contracting, advertising and marketing, equity investment and ownership, and philanthropy.

One objective of this Initiative is to provide organizations and consumers with fundamental information about corporations that can be used to guide consumers in making choices about products and services. It is a measuring tool that consumers can references in making informed decisions about where to spend and/or invest their dollars. It can also be used as a guideline by which the selected industry can measure its responsiveness to the African American or minority market. The goal of this important initiative is to serve as a catalyst for positive change.
