Community Workshop with the Long Beach Police Department
The Long Beach Branch NAACP held a workshop with the Long Beach Police Department at their General Membership Meeting, July 20th, 2008.
The workshop covered the following topics:
- “What to do when you are pulled over”
- City Ordinances and how they impact you
- Defining Racial Profiling
- How to file a complaint
- The personnel complaint process
- Community Relations and Programs, “Getting Involved”
- Recruitment and Safety
Do you think you would be a good police officer? At the Long Beach Branch NAACP meeting, you will have the opportunity to apply if you are interested in working for the Long Beach Police Department.
